What If Things Are Already hanging?

Have you ever worked toward something for a while and found yourself wondering, Is this actually working?
You're doing the work. You're showing up, making different choices, thinking and moving differently.
But when you look at your circumstances, they don't seem to have changed much.
And then your doubt starts creeping in.
You start wondering if you're on the right path, and if you should be further ahead by now.
You might even start questioning whether all the effort you're putting in is making any difference and worth it.
I've been there.
One thing I've learned is how much we look for proof in the form of a visible result.
More money in the bank, a new client, the opportunity we've been waiting for, the relationship changing, and the business finally taking off.
But not all progress is immediately visible.
Sometimes the biggest shifts are happening in you first.
You're thinking differently and making decisions you wouldn't have made a year ago.
You're also becoming more aware of what you actually want and noticing opportunities you might have overlooked before.
You may be having conversations you would've normally avoided, setting boundaries, and taking yourself more seriously.
None of that may show up on a spreadsheet or in your bank account right away, but it matters.
And this is where faith comes in.
Faith, to me, is being willing to take the next step even when I can't see the whole path.
It's trusting that I don't need to know exactly how everything will unfold before I move forward.
And part of that is being willing to let go of the idea that things have to happen the way I imagined them.
The opportunity may not come in the package you expected.
The person you thought would open the door may not be the person who does. The thing you were so sure you needed may turn out not to be what you wanted after all.
And sometimes, what looks like a delay is actually giving you time to become the person who can handle what you've been asking for.
Now, this doesn't mean you should blindly keep doing the same thing and call it 'trusting the process'.
Faith and discernment can co-exist.
If something isn't working, look at it. Learn, adjust, and try something different.
So if you're in that frustrating place right now, where you're doing the work but wondering why you're not seeing the results yet, take a breath.
Before you decide nothing is happening, look a little closer.
What has changed in you?
What are you doing differently?
What are you noticing now that you didn't notice before?
What have you learned?
What opportunities, conversations or connections have appeared that weren't there before?
You may discover that there's more evidence of progress than you realized.
And if you genuinely aren't seeing movement, that's information too.
Maybe it's time to change the strategy, make a different decision or take a different step.
So keep doing your part. Keep paying attention and making the next best decision you can.
And trust that just because you can't see proof yet doesn't mean nothing is happening.
