"Where you now stand is a result of thoughts and feelings that you have offered before, but where you are going is a result of your perspective of where you now stand."

The Power of your Posse

We've all heard the statement "You are the company that you keep." I think my mother may have said this to me growing up when she did not want me hanging out with friends she did not approve of (oh the good ole days!).

Start before you're Ready!

Back in March, I made the decision to enrol in Marie Forleo's B-School. It was something that I've been thinking about for a while but I felt I was not ready to make the commitment. I had a lot on my plate and felt that I needed a time when things were less hectic.

I write a lot about the importance of reaching towards your goals and the need to strive. One thing I wanted to address today is a concept that I first learnt from Gabrielle Bernstein. It is a concept that I think is important to remember as we work towards manifesting our goals and desires.

Here's how to get what you want!

So many people have beautiful visions of how they wish to live their life. They have found their passion and purpose and dream to one day share it with the world on a full-time basis. One of the things I've come to learn that is that the quickest way to achieve any goal and make your dreams a reality is to embody your goal and vision for your life.

Trust your Intuition
We all have an intuitive power that resides within, that guides and directs us. It has the power to lead us when faced with uncertainty and when we do not know the answer (which we should never be afraid to admit).

What to Do When You're feeling Stuck

Do you sometimes feel stuck and find yourself on a rollercoaster ride? You see yourself going in a direction that may not be aligned with your goals and visions; however, you keep getting stuck in the same situation over and over again.

Have you lived, loved and mattered?

There have been some events this week that has reminded me of just how precious our lives are; that our time here is not a dress rehearsal, but an opportunity to live life fully and make a positive impact to those around us and to our world.

Let go in order to receive!

There are times when we find ourselves in situations where we work on a goal or a particular desire that we want to achieve. We ask, pray and meditate on it and then get frustrated when what we're ask for does not seem come to fruition.

Without Fear of Falling

This month's Stuff We Love is so dear to my heart. I am using this opportunity to let you all know about a beautiful new novel that was recently launched by a dear friend Danielle Boonstra. The novel Without Fear of Falling beautifully illustrates how the willingness to choose love over fear will give you the strength to heal a lifetime of past hurts. This novel kept me captivated and pulled me in right from the start. Another reason I celebrate this book is that Danielle, a mother of 2 wrote this book while at home with her youngest. She is an amazing example of just how much you can accomplish when you set an intention and are determined to see your dreams come to fruition, which is what MEL is all about. I remember Danielle telling me about a time when she was writing and her son was playing right beside her, crashing his toy cars (LOL)! That is pure concentration and determination!
Click the link below to check out and order this book. It is an amazing read and I am so honoured to call Danielle my friend!
