"Where you now stand is a result of thoughts and feelings that you have offered before, but where you are going is a result of your perspective of where you now stand."

Can you trust that the answer is within you?

Have you ever been so sure that the answer to something that you wanted resided outside of you? How many times have you looked at external circumstances for our happiness and satisfaction? "Once I make X amount I will be satisfied. If my husband would just behave this way, my life would be easier. I wonder if this job/career is the best choice for me."

There is a principal in A Course in Miracles that reads “Miracles are natural. When they do not occur something has gone wrong.” I love this line from the book because it reminds me of all the greatness and blessings we all have.

Let’s develop an attitude of gratitude

Gratitude is something I aim to practice everyday of my life. I don’t always succeed, but I definitely strive for it. There are so many times in our lives when we forget how truly blessed we are and all the amazing things in our lives we have to be grateful for.

Super Soul Sunday on OWN

Okay, so if you've followed my posts for a while, or if you know me personally, then you know how much I love Oprah. I am so excited to feature her Emmy Award winning show Super Soul Sunday for this month's Stuff We Love feature. This show I can honestly say is food to my soul, and one of my spiritual practices. Many of my favourite teachers have been featured on this show, and I've been privileged to be introduced to other new teachers from this show, Brené Brown and Panache Desai just to name a few.

There has been so many aha moments for me during the show that has added to all areas of my life. I am a better wife, parent and an all around person from the lessons I've learnt from the show. I can truly say that I know the world can be transformed and healed if we all took the time and watched it consistently. For my fellow Canadians we cannot get it on the OWN channel (hope we can one day), but we can watch it free on oprah.com Sunday mornings at 11am.

Be certain of the outcome!

How many times have you found yourself impatiently waiting for something that you’ve had your heart set on? In those moments it may feel like time is against you, and that every second that passes and you don’t see it materializing, your faith begins to waver and anxiety sets in.

This pivotal question is a game changer!

I was watching a presentation by one of my mentors Marie Forleo and at the beginning of the presentation she asked the audience a powerful question that I thought was absolutely brilliant.

Ditch the Inner Critic!

Have you ever noticed that voice in your head that likes to criticize every action you take? That voice that we know deep down is false, however, we allow it to hold us back from living the life we crave.

The Courage to Fly Project

Last week, I mentioned that I am a contributor to The Courage to Fly Project book. This project is led by Chantelle Adams, who was inspired by her children's effort of building a school in Africa. She was also inspired by the death of a good friend from breast cancer and the regrets of her friend of all the things she was afraid to do. This was the birth of The Courage to Fly Project, where Chantelle is taking on her fear of heights and jumping out of plane at 10,000ft to raise $10,000 to build a school in Nicaragua. She jumped on August 27th, but the fundraiser still goes on. We are almost half way there! Check out her video here on the story behind this great cause and for your chance to contribute. There are amazing prizes as a thank you including the ebook that I am so proud to be a part of.

Are you stopping three feet from gold?

There is a great story in Napoleon Hill's book Think and Grow Rich where he shares a story called Three Feet from Gold. It's basically a story during the time people went digging for gold to achieve wealth.
