"Where you now stand is a result of thoughts and feelings that you have offered before, but where you are going is a result of your perspective of where you now stand."

Loving What Is

Written by

There are people that believe that for them to have real change and manifest their desires; they must first be dissatisfied with their life. There's no doubt that dissatisfaction is a trigger for change for the better, but I also believe in the version of  being happy and loving what is, while also striving to achieve more.

The concept of Loving What Is was first introduced to me in my Life Lift Training. This concept helped change my perception of the journey towards reaching my goals. It is something that I try and come back to anytime I feel a sense of disappointment or when something that I've been planning whether in my business or relationships does not go as planned. It has allowed me to love the phase I am on in my journey and focus on what is going well, rather than dwell on what is not. Yes, there are times when I wish I've made more progress and gotten a faster result, but I try and remind myself that where I am on my journey is ok; and to take it a step further to love where I am on my journey.

This concept may be difficult for people who are going through a painful experience, who may need additional support. However, it is important to look and focus on what is going right for you. Regardless of your experience, there is always something good in your life to focus on. This helps to reduce the negative charge that comes with only looking at what is wrong or missing. When you reduce the negative energy, and focus on the positive, it will help shift your perception and allow you to see even more things to be happy with, versus if you stayed focus on the negative.  Even more, you will be able to clearly see solutions and opportunities that will help you attain your goals.

People also tend to look with sadness or bitterness at those that have what they want. This is one of the worse things that you can do, because this gives off a feeling of lack and resentment. Now I've written before about how your feelings are the magnet that draws things into your life. No matter how hard you work, if you keep looking at your life with dissatisfaction and keep focusing on what is missing, that is more of what you'll get.  A common cause of emotional pain is not accepting your life as it really is and wanting things to be different than what they currently are. Life Lift creator Mark Fournier writes, "The secret to living a joyful and fulfilling life is in being able to reach for more (of anything) while simultaneously loving where we are now." Focusing on the positive is a powerful way to draw in more of what we want into your physical experience. We are showing appreciation for what we currently have and as a result we will draw into our lives more things to feel grateful for.

We love what is by enjoying the visions of our aspirations and working towards its attainment while loving and appreciating our current circumstances and experiences. Knowing the difference between wants and needs is also key. You should see your aspirations as a bonus to what you already have going and not something that is needed for your survival. It is important to distinguish the two.

Keep working towards your goals and take actions to turn your desires into reality. However remember to love, focus and be grateful for all your current blessings.
