"Where you now stand is a result of thoughts and feelings that you have offered before, but where you are going is a result of your perspective of where you now stand."

If you’re not doing this, chances are you’re not seeing the results you want!

I write a lot about the creation process and the steps needed to manifest your goals and create your dream lifestyle. However, there is a key concept that I’ve not written before, which has been coming up for me recently. This concept promises to be a game-changer, and may be the very reason why you’re not seeing the results you want!

This is the concept of clearing space (releasing). What do I mean by this?  Well, you must first release the old, in order to receive the new. You need to make room for that which you want to come into your life. This means to de-clutter and clear space physically, mentally and emotionally, to allow the new desire to come into your life.

When you do not have what you desire even though you may be doing the work and aligning yourself to your goals, it could be that you have blocked these desires from coming into your life by not making space for it.

Think about it, how often have you held onto something, all the while hoping for something different. A great example is in the relationship front. You want to be in a loving and committed relationship however, you’re still holding on to your ex who you know will never commit to you. You pine for him or her and drop all your plans whenever they ask. Because you haven’t released this past relationship, you’re blocking someone new from coming into your life. It will be very difficult for you to bring in that new committed relationship into your life, no matter how much you visualize and affirm it.

Take a look at the physical act of holding onto something. It requires a closed fist. If someone was to give you something new, you need to open up your hand and release what you’re currently holding in your hand, in order for you to be able to grab hold of the new thing. This is a great reminder to have when you look to create something new in your life.

Another reason creating space is a requirement is because, nature abhors a vacuum”. This means that when an empty space is created, nature rushes in and fills it up with something new. So, you must have an empty space in order to have that new desire be given in its place. As you start to clear space, it is important to replace them with more positive empowering ones, one that is in alignment with what you want. So, when you start releasing negative conditions, replace them with positive ones.

I do want to advise though, that once you fully commit to clearing space, you may experience some shadows. These are things that show up for you to deal with. Clearing space calls forth all the ‘baggage’ that needs to be cleaned up. This may mean dealing with a past relationship, or it’s going through your home and de-cluttering. I’ve been doing this this past week and it’s a harder process that it appears. Also, I’ve also experienced some past issues that surfaced which I thought were dealt with, which took me by surprise. But, I quickly understood that this was all part of the clearing process, and only came up because it needed to be dealt with. I definitely had my moments of resistance and frustration however, knowing that this was all part of the process allowed me to honour my feelings and keep moving forward, staying committed to clearing space.

Now your turn, what areas in your life are you not seeing results you desire? Can you be honest with yourself and see if you’ve made room and cleared space for it to come in? Comment below and let me know.
