"Where you now stand is a result of thoughts and feelings that you have offered before, but where you are going is a result of your perspective of where you now stand."

How clear is your Vision?

Written by

I had the great pleasure of conducing a talk yesterday to a small group of amazing ladies. The subject of my talk was tips to creating an abundant life. This is a topic that I love to speak about and discuss and I loved the great energy that was shared with those that were there.

One of the first steps I spoke about was our need to set and have clear intentions and visions. This is very important because for us to create the lives we want, we need to know what it looks like. It cannot be fuzzy or "wishy-washy", but crystal clear. I liken it to a map. If you are trying to get to a destination and you're using a fuzzy and unclear map to get there, what are the chances that you will reach your destination? Not very likely right? Or it will take you a lot longer to reach it. This is the same as trying to reach your goals; you need to have a clear picture of the life you want to live.
Having a clear picture is also important because you are able to see what opportunities are aligned to your goals and which ones are not. You get to know right away which ones to go for and take advantage of and which ones to pass up. So many times we go from project to project and chase the next shiny object not really taking the time to think if it fits within the overall picture that we want for ourselves. However, when the picture and vision is clear, we are then able to know what is the best option for us to help get us there.
Another great thing about this is that when you have a clear picture, you start the manifestation process. When you are able to clearly visualize your dream life, sit with it, and be in a state of gratitude for it, you ignite your creation power. Think about your desires and goals in your mind and feel as if it has come to pass. As most people know, our subconscious mind does not recognize whether something is happening in our mind or in physical reality. It will work to bring about what we are focused on. So carry a clear image of the life you want with you as you go about your day. When resistance and frustrations come up as you go about bringing it to fruition, go to your image and activate the emotions that comes with having it now!
There are a number of tools you can use to get a clear image of your goals and desires. The widely used one is a vision board. Take a board and magazine and cut out images (from the magazine) that resonate with you and is associated with what you want to create in your life. Glue them on your board and put it somewhere you can see it daily. You can also use a goal box and similar to your vision board you can cut out images and place it in your box. Another great option is to write it out. Write out your perfect life. Be clear and description and do not worry about the how. The how will come through your commitment in the what and your why. When you read the description of your dream life to yourself, you should feel excitement throughout your body and your heart leap with joy! Keep the written description by your bedside and read it every morning when you get up and every night before you go to bed. When you read it, really sit with it and imagine it. Feel the feelings you would have if you were experiencing it in the physical form. Feel the joy and gratitude of it coming to fruition. Do this everyday for 30 days and you will begin to see such amazing shifts and transformation begin to take place in your life.
