The Power of Beliefs

What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe you can have, be, or achieve? I know this may seem like a loaded question, but how you answer this question holds the key to your current and future life experiences.

You see, our beliefs play a huge role in the actions or sometimes inactions that we take. Our beliefs about what is possible for ourselves and others, influences the way we see the world around us, our behaviours and consequently our reality.

People sometimes feel stuck and find it difficult to make changes where they wish to see improvements. This is predominantly due to what they believe about their ability to transcend their current circumstances.  I read recently on the internet that two ingredients needed for success is belief + time. The higher the belief the less time needed to achieve it. However, the lower your belief the more time it will take to achieve it. Belief is so powerful because it can help us draw that which we wish to have into existence. On the other hand, our negative beliefs also magnetizes into our physical world negative experiences.

There are people that go through similar situations, however one will use the experiences and turn them into lessons, and be a shining example and inspiration to those around them, whereas the other remains a victim of their circumstances and never rises above them. This is the importance of beliefs because although the two went through similar situations, they had different beliefs of who they could become and what they can achieve, which in turn affected their current life experience.

If there is any area of your life that you would like to improve, you must understand your beliefs about it. Do you believe in the possibility of making the improvements? Do you believe and see yourself accomplishing your particular goal? Go deep and get to know your core beliefs about that particular area. Replace any negative beliefs and self talk with new and empowered beliefs and self talk. See yourself accomplishing those goals and buy into that belief and the possibility of it becoming a reality.  This is where your focus needs to be because that focus will impact your feelings, and as we know we all behave appropriately to our feelings. So, if you are feeling good and empowered, you will behave appropriately to that feeling, which in turn will affect what you experience in your physical reality.
